How many Blog posts before the launch of my blog?

How Many Blog Posts I Need Before Launching My Blog?

Technically speaking the answer to this question is, you don’t need any blog post to launch your blog.

When I started my blog, it was only my family and friends who were checking on my site for the first few months.

The harsh truth is that, since Google never finds you or Google never knew even our site existed.

And hence, don’t worry too much.

Let’s start learning how to write a better post, how to outline the blog post correctly, how to use on – page SEO and most importantly to build internal links in our blog. This is because these are very important things to consider as a beginner, rather than counting the number of blog posts.

Initially, when I started my blog, I didn’t look for a perfect moment to start in terms of blog post because no one is perfect. And also, don’t be an over-perfectionist.

A great content that answers the questions of the reader is what Google searches for. If we were able to provide the answers in our content, Google will definitely rank us.

The more content you have on your blog, more you attract traffic. Hence focus on writing great content with high quality.

The next important thing after publishing your blog post is to focus on promoting it on social media platforms. This is an organic way of bringing traffic to our website.

Bonus Tip: Maintain quality over quantity always.

Yes, this is because you are just getting started. But you don’t need tonnes of posts before launching your website.

What if I launch my blog with around 10 posts?

There is no hard and fast rule for the number of blogs before launching a blog.

Tips for writing block posts for beginners

1. Install the right theme for your Blog

The theme of your blog is the design that readers will view as they visit your website.

It defines your blog’s layout, colors, and general vibe. There are plenty of excellent themes available, both free and paid.

I suggest free themes like WP Astra, and Generate Press to all bloggers, young and experienced alike.

It’s quite simple to use and has a plethora of useful functions. It’s also the fastest theme, which will help you rank your site on Google.

Consider what works best for you! or what type of blog theme will be most comfortable for you to use.

2. Start with a Keyword Search

Keywords are the backbone of SEO, hence they must be considered from the outset. A keyword is just a word or term that people type into Google to find.

Examples of these include “How to start a blog?” as well as “How to find the long tail keywords for the blog post?”.

I started my site without any knowledge of SEO, but I started writing blog posts with the knowledge I gained through my process of starting this blog.

Prioritize learning SEO for blog growth. I also recommend you to use free keyword research tools and Chrome extension which are free to use and most helpful tool. Learn how to use the Ahrefs Chrome extension from this article.

3. Consider the Best Topic Ideas.

  • You may discuss a broader niche of subjects, such as news or current issues in your field. This helps you to rank for that particular keyword since it’s new.
  • Write interesting blog posts and other related blog entries to increase your audience and retain your current readers.
  • Cover as many blog subjects as possible – the more questions you answer, the more traffic you will receive.
  • Invest effort and even money in SEO, guest posting, and Backlinks.
  • Spread the word regarding your blogs on your social media platforms (on individual postings) by incorporating hyperlinks to your blog entries.
  • Ensure that your blog article is of great quality, with only helpful information and no grammatical issues.

4. Build Internal Linking.

  • When you’re creating blog posts for your new blog, it’s a great opportunity to start thinking about blog categories.
  • Choosing your categories early, one can help you organize your future blog pieces and stay on track.
  • For Example: To start with, have two long-form page content with many subheadings. Now expand each of the headings to a post. Link the post content to the page and vice versa using hyperlinks.
  • Mindmap your categories and interlink each of the posts in the category to the main page content, as explained above.
  • As a general guideline, limit yourself to 3 to 5 core blog categories, so the reader is not confused.

5. Start Writing a Blog Post

  • The exciting part starts now: Creating your first-ever blog post!
  •  This is your chance to show off your individuality and tell your tale to the world.
  • When you’re just getting started, and I suggest you to write shorter blogs (about 1500 words – 2,000 words) until you get the feel of it.
  • Don’t be concerned if your first few postings aren’t flawless. Nobody is!
  • Simply write down your thoughts; you can always go back and revise later. I do advocate starting with SEO optimization from the beginning. But, let’s be honest, even the posts we think are wonderful now when we look back three years later and wonder, “… why did I do this??”

Give yourself a break and just remember that done is better than perfect.

6. Promote your Content on Social Media

It’s time to market your first blog article now that you’ve published it. While you’re still not in the Google search, this is how you’ll get others to read what you’ve written.

Outside of my mailing list and SEO, I don’t promote my blog entries. However, when I first started, I discovered that marketing on social media was quite beneficial.

Make your own Pinterest pin for each article, share it on Facebook (and make your relatives and friends click on it), and even publish it on platforms such as Quora and Reddit.

To Wrap up...

Blogging is an art and science of balancing good quality posts along with a good number of posts. Never have unrealistic numbers to start with. First, lets start with one post and then increase it naturally.

Hence stop debating, about, how many blog posts should I have before I launch my blog? and start writing. Because you can have 0 post to start with.

“Learn while you write”. That’s the best way to start. Do you have any better ideas or do your agree with my idea. Please do comment your idea on this topic.
